Budig 101

The Media Production Studio has two recording spaces to help you capture content. The Budig 101 studio space is ideal for on-camera interviews and scenes. Our one-person Soundbooth is perfect for capturing voice recordings.

Budig 101 Studio Space:
Located just upstairs from the Media Production Studio, our Budig 101 studio space comes equipped with a light kit, green screen, HD camcorder and wireless microphone system. It's a great space for one or two-person interviews.  Contact us to schedule time in the studio - we can provide an orientation to equipment operation or schedule a videographer to assist while you're using the space.
Availability: Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Media Production Studio Soundbooth:
Our MPS soundbooth is just big enough for one person and comes equipped with a computer, microphone and pre-amplifier. Both machines have Audacity or Garageband for general audio recording, as well as Camtasia for recording on-screen tutorials or narrated PowerPoints.
Availability: Weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Reserving a MPS Recording Space

You can reserve any of our recording spaces in-person, by email at itmps@ku.edu or by phone at 785-864-6452.

KU Libraries Studio K

Another option for presentation rehearsal or capture is Watson Library's Studio K.  MPS staff assisted with the creation and assembly of this "One Button Studio," and it's a convenient, easy way to self-record.

You can reserve Studio K at the KU Libraries website ».
